Room Attendant / Suite Keeper

Job Summary:

Responsible for the cleanliness of rooms and suites efficiently and in accordance with hotel and brand standards. Responsibilities include but are not limited to cleaning guest rooms / suites and hallways. Responsibilities:

  • Cleanliness and overall appearance of hotel rooms/suites
  • Vacuuming, sweeping and/or mopping
  • Dusting, brushing, polishing and/or vacuuming furniture
  • Dusting and cleaning room decorations, appliance and structural surfaces
  • Thoroughly cleaning the bathroom area – shower stalls, tubs, sinks and other bathroom surfaces
  • Making beds according to hotel / brand standards
  • Removing used linens as well as used guest amenities and trash
  • Replenish guest amenities and supplies
  • Inspect rooms for safety hazards/operating conditions of equipment
  • Check for damaged linens
  • Maintaining storage rooms and restocking carts
  • The ability to follow our Company’s rules and regulations in order to provide an extremely clean and friendly experience for our guests as well as fellow team members is essential.

Guest Service Agent

Guest Service Agent 

The Guest Service Agent is responsible for meeting the guest’s needs, especially during the check-in / check-out process with an outgoing, friendly personality.  Responsibilities include: Giving guest information about the hotel, area attractions, restaurants, etc.  Responds to guest needs for assistance and information.  Sell rooms to walk-ins. Entering / changing reservation information on the computer system.  Driving our guest in our shuttle within a 5 mile radius.  Posting changes to guests accounts, processing payments, and making corrections to guest accounts.  Informs the Executive Housekeeper as to room number changes, early / late check-ins / outs, and new HHonors reservations / arrivals.  Listening to guest complaints and responding in a positive way.  Operating the hotel switchboard.  Keeping the front desk area neat and clean.  Maintains the daily shift communication log book.  Balances the cash drawer, credit cards, and all house accounts.  This is to be a brief overview and is not all inclusive.  This position requires a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Front Desk Operations: 

  • Wears uniform, name-tag, and shoes as stated in the Appearance and Behavior Standards.
  • Greets guest by name, smiling and being accommodating.
  • Processes guest arrivals / CRM / HHonors on an hourly basis,
  • Explains the hotel’s amenities to guests. Processes key packs.
  • Anticipates the guest’s needs, try’s to arrive at a positive solution for the guest.
  • Answers the telephone without delay, knows how to operate the switchboard. No personal phone calls.
  • Knows how to navigate the ONQ computer system.
  • Balances daily the cash and credit card transactions. Prints downtime reports every two hours (more often in the event of storm).
  • Is familiar with the Emergency Procedures, who to call and when.
  • Works closely with the Executive Housekeeper to ensure accurate information is communicated regarding check-ins / check-outs. Informs the Executive Housekeeper of any special guest needs / requests.
  • Communicates to Maintenance any problems in the guest rooms.
  • Is familiar with the hotel’s corporate accounts / Direct Bill accounts.
  • Balances accurately and does the shift cash drop daily, verifying against the computer system,
  • Processes group check-ins / check-outs
  • Double checks any group posting for accuracy, room routing, baggage charges, advance deposit, and verifies that all matches the group accounting sheet.
  • Communicates any guest issues to the management team.
  • Maintains a clean front desk area.

These duties may be changed at any time by the Area Director or General Manager
